OIL FILTRATION

Deep fryers use significant volumes of cooking oil – a commodity that has become extremely expensive of late. To extend the life of cooking oil and ensure the best cooking outcomes in terms of taste, smell and colour, daily filtration is necessary. Filtration though, can be time-consuming, potentially dangerous, and only as effective as the filter is good.

Vortech now introduces the perfect solution; a pre-programmed, portable filtration system that will filter your deep fryer oil in 4.5 minutes, even when the oil is hot.

Simply submerge the VITO Oil Filtration machine directly into the deep fryer and press go. The machine then sucks up all the oil and food particles, passes it through a micro filter and returns the clean oil back into the fryer. Job done.

Better Oil, Less Oil

Filtering cooking oil on a daily basis removes food particles and bonded oil molecules from the rest of the cooking oil. 

By frequently filtering out food particles, users can remove food from the bottom of the fryer before it begins to burn and negatively affect the taste and colour of your food. By removing bonded oil molecules, cooking oil doesn’t become thick – and thick oil increases cooking time and makes food taste ‘oily’ rather than ‘crispy’. 

All of this means that kitchens that filter their oil are able to use it for longer – in fact, using VITO technology, for up to twice as long!

VITO filtration systems are engineered to handle hot oil (up to 200 degrees Celsius), which makes using VITO really safe and easy.

Staff don’t have to risk moving or handling dangerously hot oil and no-one needs to wait for the oil to cool down. Simply submerge the portable machine into the deep fryer (restaurants) or insert the vacuum hose into the fryer bath (food manufacturers) and press ‘start’.

FILTRATION TECHNOLOGY

VITO systems are designed to vacuum up food sediment that has settled at the bottom of the fryer and pass this, together with all the hot oil, through a particle filter that provides microfiltration up to 5 µm (200µin).

Filters are supplied by Vortech as part of the monthly contract and are easily swapped out by the kitchen staff. Depending on the level of filtration required and volume of oil that needs to be processed, filters should be swapped out every 6 – 10 filtrations.

VITO XL

Functionality

VITO XL cleans your oil in an easy and hygienic way. It sucks the oil out of your fryer, cleans it from particles and stores it inside its 120l tank.
From there, it can be safely transported on flat floors.
The oil can then either be pumped back into the deep fryer, or simply disposed.
